Default Another Movie Theater Attack

A request to turn off a cell phone winds up in a stabbing.

http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktl...,6105625.story

This is in my own town. My wife takes her elderly mom to that theater all the time.

This wound up with three people injured fighting the attacker, one very seriously. He and the two lunatics with him got away.

The choice of weapon was curious: a meat thermometer. This was probably the work of a group that was visiting one of the prisons in this area, which is about two miles to the west of the theater.

Law enforcement at the prison reserves the right to search any vehicle coming into the prison parking lot, so the criminal associates of prisoners carry "shanks" that an be disguised or explained away in their cars. That's probably what this moron was doing, and of course, he couldn't just walk into a movie theater unarmed; that would be unthinkable.

My guess is this crew went to visit a buddy in lockdown, and decided to just make a day of it and go to the movies, too.

I quit going to theaters years ago, after a riot one night in trendy, upscale Westwood. My town of Lancaster is actually a very nice place overall, but going where people congregate and argue about noise is just a waste of time.

I'm done with it.

Bone head convicts. Even into a movie theater. Obviously spent too much time in the joint.

They'll catch them. These are not rocket scientists.

See, I get worried about crazy stuff like that. People will go crazy if someone is talking in the movies or when a cellphone goes off. A cellphone went off when we went to go watch Alice in Wonderland 3D and I was like; "There's a two minute ad stating; 'PLEASE SILENCE YOUR CELLPHONES AND ENJOY THE SHOW!'" This is why I plan on having a home theater after I get Trauma released, so I can just go downstairs and live in my basement/home theater.

That is why I prefer staying home more and more now. Society is just plain nuts, too much nut cases who seem to have more right then a honest person.

So now you have given me another excuse to tell the wife for having a home theater. It is now saving lives.

that would be great. Only have it affect inside the theatre and that would force you to go out to the hall. Have it turn on when th movie starts. The law was passed in the 30's that makes them illegal. Time to revisit that law ans ammend it.

I'll still go to the movie theater

We don't have to be all paranoid and stuff now!

The solution is not staying at home but to reinforce security !

If someone got stabbed at a Wendy's restaurant, will i restrain myself from going to Wendy's , the answer is no!

People are too paranoid!
