When I pre-ordered them the first season was $27.99. Not that much of a difference, but at least it's something.

Great to see both seasons get a 5/5 rating btw, this show certainly deserves it!

I was thinking about pre-ordering both seasons just in case the price goes down even just a little bit. It is a lot, especially since I've never seen the show before. But considering how many times I've read how good this show is, and according to my Netflix it says I would like it I might as well.

Again, not much of a difference, but the first season dropped to $27.96 at amazon.

In my opinion this is one of, if not THE best TV show on right now. And yes, I watch Dexter too. I have seen all of The Soprano's and Sons of Anarchy also. This blows them all away. I'm pretty confident that if you are a fan of any of the shows I just mentioned you won't be disappointed in the least bit.

Yeah, if it's region A locked, it would be "crazy" ! Because it's noted ABC by Sony ... so after Nurse Jackied (noted ABC but A only), now this ?

I asked Gary Tooze, who had reviewed the two sets on DVD Beaver. He tested the discs on a player set on region B and he couldn't play them. bluray.liesinc.net also updated their data: both sets were previously shown as region-free. Now, only the second season is listed, as region-locked.

I guess that the artwork was, as you say, Nurse-jackied ... There was a blunder that wasn't corrected and major studio's quality control for TV shows is generally quite defective. Nurse Jackie is anyway a Lionsgate release, while Breaking Bad is all Sony.

Now, Sony has the choice between recalling the box sets and replacing the discs by region-free ones or putting a little sticker on the back to warn it's actually region A. Guess what they'll do.

Personally, I'm quite disappointed, as I had already ordered the sets but canceled them as soon as I heard they could actually be locked. Not a difficult decision, given that there are too many new releases I wanted to pick anyway, but I now have to wait for an eventual region B set or picking an Oppo player.

hey guys, having recieved my copy of 'Breaking Bad Season 1 Blu-ray' this morning, I can comfirm that it is 'Region A Locked', despite clearly indicating that it is Region A, B and C on the box.

I have tested both discs with a UK PS3 and they wont play on it. I have a region free blu-ray player so this doesn't effect me but I do realise that not everyone on this forum does.

Does anybody know if Breaking Bad will get a Blu Ray release in the UK or know of any other region apart from Region A that already has a release. Picked up the region A disk after being told it's region free only to find it's locked.

This show just gave me a TV hard-on.
Oh my gawd, I watched the first season a few months ago on itunes.
Waited a few months for the Blu-Ray. And boy was the wait worth it!
The second season is so amazing! I thought the first season was great, well this season I found myself unable to leave my tv. The show is so addicting. I am almost finished with it at the moment. The audio and picture quality is great. And it came with a cool sticker I put on my wall from the intro title sequence. It has a load of special features. A fantastic Blu-Ray Release!
Every episode in the season has been topping itself. THIS SHOW IS SO AMAZING!!!!!!! I want to preach it to the world.

I, too, would like a price drop!! I like to get a bit more bang for my buck. I usually get that with TV on DVD and/or Blu.....plus I've seen the whole series....thank you AMC on-demand through Comcast......No, I'm not sure I actually mean to be thanking Comcast....I usually wouldn't.
30$ for each season is a good enough deal for me, i don't care if its 7 and 13 episodes the show is worth EVERY penny

Been interested in this show and with all these glowing reviews, I'm seriously tempted to go ahead and get these two seasons. Can anyone comment on how much replay value this series has?

Question: I just watched the first 2 episodes last night. Never seen this before. (loved it by the way).

My question is, are the episodes on the Blu-ray "unrated / uncut" versions of the episodes, or did the nudity actually air on AMC?

I watched every episode on TV and am now re-watching them. I can't say I do that for many other shows or movies.

Lol, no you can't have nudity on cable or network TV (only subscription channels like HBO and Showtime). They censor language and nudity like every other show. But like you said, the DVD's are uncut.

Funny though, in episode 6 of season 2, the scene where Walt is talking to Gretchen the F-bomb is censored on the Blu-ray. It doesn't bother me, but it's odd because on the season 1 Blu-ray it's not muted.
