Need help..audio/video dropout - Blu-ray Forum

During playback I noticed that the whole thing will just turn black for 1-2 seconds and then the picture comes back, I rewind it to the part it stopped and the video is fine, this has happened several times to me on different movies latest being 2012. Got the latest firmware so wondering what's causing this?? Anybody out there knows..

I would think it is one of 2 things. A handshake issue but it happening during playback makes me lean towards a HDMI cable that is going bad.

Thanks for ur reply, It is happening during playback so then must be the cable...I better get another one and we'll see...

had the issue today with 2012 on my system....unplugged re-booted and was fine....

I would say cable problem, but before you buy new check your connections could be a little dirty or corroded.
