Default Rock Band guitar dropout?

I kind of let it go since I got it, but I've been playing RB a lot lately and it's irritating me. Has anybody had any experience with the guitar seemingly dropping out? I'll be in the middle of a sustained note, not touch the strum bar, not move my fingers, and it just drops out. The same goes for long streams of repeated notes . . . I'll be going along and one note in the series doesn't register. Anybody else experiencing this?

i had a problem like that and it turned out i was just playing the strum like it was guitar hero. It just took getting used to. Cause in rock band, to play it the way it was designed to, you lightly flick the strum bar, instead of guitar hero when u just slam it down.

but if you think its the guitar, just get a new one. the warranty is actually quite good. you'll actually get to have 2 guitars for around a month b4 u have to send the old one back.

Strum lightly with your index finger and thumb. It will help.

I have been playing Rock Band since Christmas, and I have not experienced guitar drop out so far at all. I would suggest checking your batteries and also the connection of your receiver box to the PS3. Maybe you're getting some weird signal interference somewhere?

Also try shifting the channel [resynch the guitar to the reciever, that little button on the reciever and by the PS button].

Happens to me every know and then. But I think that happens to me when I nudge the Strum Bar oh-so-slightly. It did it alot before I got the Guitar replaced though. So maybe your Guitar is a defective one?

Oh, that's true. There were a slew of defective guitars in the initial shipments.

I'd say contact Activision for a replacement while it's under warranty. There was a replacement notice slip in my special edition box. Check their web site for the customer service number.

I got my RB this past week and it said it was manufactured in Dec 2007. When was the last batch of bad guitars made?

BStecke, I've also experienced your same problem and I even changed the batteries. Maybe its just that I was also used to GH?
