Denon 3808 firmware upgrade to HDMI 1.4? - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone know if it can be upgraded from 1.3 to 1.4 via firmware update.

Doubtful since HDMI 1.4 will most likely require a new HDMI chip that the 3808 doesn't have. Keep in mind that this is a three year old device.

HDMI 1.4 is a Hardware change, not FW. It will be compatible with 1080i 3D because it's 1.3 compatible.. but not true 1080p 3D

Just heard from Denon rep that a new AVR-3811 with HDMI 1.4 support is coming in June
