I was on HKFlix and saw that for Pre-Order. Magnolia is releasing it.

Bought this the other day. Took it home and at chapter thirteen, nearly an hour and twenty-five minutes into the movie the picture started skipping, pixelating and the time on the disc was advancing without continuing. I took the disc back to wear I bought it and exchanged it only to run into the same problem. Thinking it was a firmware issue I updated only to have the problem still occur.
Anyone else who own the disc have problems as well? I've used Magnolia's website to contact them about this.

Im thinking about buying this movie, is it any good? Also how is the audio, is it Korean but dubbed in English? Thanks

The audio has both a dub and the original korean which it remits to.

As for the movie itself its the same kind of cheesy disaster movie with the only issue being it takes eighty minutes to get to the titular Tidal Wave. With what I was able to view its your regular schtick but well done and fun if you like those types of movies.

Which copy did you get and did the skipping problem stop.
Any one else have any comments on the the US versus the Korean one?

I'm curious if anyone has watched the US release and has any thoughts they'd like to share as well. I was shocked to see this at Wal-Mart today for $20 and almost picked it up.

My first post, I have to say I loved it, it is cheassy, low budget SFX, but I loved it, it is not a dissaster movie, but the tsunami comes as a secondary character on it.

It is about, family, betrayal, relationships, and well, honestly, I am a father, and it hit me.

Again, do not expect to see the best special effects, but story wise and how it has been told, it is much better than 2012, if they only had more money for the CGI it would have been a really awesome movie.

Great performances, and story.

I hope it works for you.

Rented it from Netflix and had exactly the same problem. Unfortunately that was exactly the time the tsunami hit. All that buildup for nothing.

DUB is sick, the writing is amazeballs, and a disaster film with the best characters and acting I have ever watched. Buy with confidence if you love Disaster films. I want to watch Pacific Rim next.
