I half agree with your statement. Yes, the soundtrack is great because it has plenty of atmosphere but I can't say I agree with your statement about it not having "boom-boom". I can tell you right now that any exterior shot including the ship has some of the best LFE content I've heard. It's not constant like Terminator Salvation's battle scenes or an assault on the senses like the plane scene in Knowing, but Sunshine has some extremely solid low end rumble to it.

It also has some of the best examples of clean, crisp colours I've seen. The vegetation in the hydroponic room is such a lush green and the golden hues of the sun and the reflective surfaces of the ship are very pure.

Add all this to a great story (I for one like the ending, even if it is a bit from left field) and some solid acting under the direction of Danny Boyle and you've got yourself a great experience on Blu-ray.

The Blu-ray look's amazing, if you enjoy the movie enough to see it again then go ahead and buy it, it's worth it

Of the 50+ blurays that I own Sunshine is one of my favorites. It gets a lot of repeat viewings, PQ and AQ are great.

I haven't watched my Sunshine BD yet, but this film looks top notch even in lowly upscalled SD, I expect to be blown away when I finally load up the BD disc.

I liked it. However, the third act really took a lot of weight off the movie.

Been wanting to buy this for quiet some time now, I am not 100% if I'll like it but my friend told me a few years ago that he loved it (when the DVD format was dominate)

This is a beautiful blu-ray. I've liked this film more each time I've seen it. I think the complaints about the ending miss the mark (and the point).

The movie's pretty great on Blu-ray. The PQ and AQ are top-notch, the score just gives me chills, and the supplements are quite exceptional for a Profile 1.1 launch title.

blu looks great...worth the pick up especially for $14 on amazon...
