Default Any Problems With 7.1 With "The Condemned"?

I just purchased a copy of "The Condemened" which supposedly has DTS-HD 7.1. My player and amp can decode this. The problem is that my amp is showing DTS-HD but only showing it 5.1 in relation to the speaker indicator lights on the front panel. Ive tried different setting with the same result. I then put in "Weeds" season two which has PCM 7.1 and my amp showed all 7 speakers lights indicating a 7.1 input. Do you think there is a problem with the disc or do you think Lionsgate Films just screwed up? Please provide any information you can regarding this film.

Thanks,

John

Default Does anyone else own "The Condemned"?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else had purchased a copy of "The Condemned" BD Disc. I recently purchased itto see what the 7.1 sounded like. However I cant seem to get my receiver to recognize it as 7.1, only shows as 5.1. I am curious to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Thanks,

John

I think its cuz its a DTS-HD MA 7.1 track and since most players dont decode DTS HD MA yet, it just decodes the core 5.1 track... I think anyways.

We bought it but havent had the chance to view it. We have a 7.1 but use it as a 5.1 so we wouldn't be much help anyways.

PS3 decodes the 7.1 and sends it as multich if setup correctly....it also depends on your receiver.

Yes, must admit got this title soley because of the 7.1 audio. Have a PS3 playing thru a Yamaha RX-V2600. Sound on THE CONDEMNED is OK but are better HD audio examples out there - even if not 7.1

Understand CARS is 7.1 - bring them on !!

Cancel that last bit. CARS would be Audio - English 5.1 Uncompressed (48 kHz/24-bit) English, 5.1 Dolby Digital (Off the awesome Disney site)

Does anybody know of any other 7.1 's out there?

Doctor Strange and The Ultimate Avengers are 7.1, I believe.

I thought that the PS3 couldn't decode DTS-HD with the current available firmware.
