I didn't expect it to be so nice, yeah Pasted shot look softer (actually the ship is super clean and the pasted peoples are softer), but it look mighty great !!!!!!!!!! The scene outdoor look almost as nice as a today movie LOL!

I was shocked at how great it looked, i expected something MUCH worse and way grainier. The outdoor sunny scenes looked like they were filmed 3-4 years ago, not 30 years ago! Amazing! Definitely picking this up.

Yeah, back in '77 when everyone was all "Star Wars this, Star Wars that", it was all about CE3K for me!

The PQ looks good in some areas and pretty decent in others. I think Halloween came out a little better.

I'll be picking this one up.

The trailer looks pretty good and the disc should look better than this trailer.

I think I'm going to break out the dvd later and do some comparing.

I'm geezer enough to have seen the original in theaters as a kid, and the Blu looks even better.

Here's hoping this one gets lots of industry press hype, and starts the push for more "Anniversary Edition" titles moved on to Blu.
