Default Superbad on 2 disks?!

so maybe this has been answered already.. but does anyone know why Superbad for blu ray is gonna be on 2 disks? i thought one of the positives of blu ray was that it has tons of space and thus eliminating the need for the annoying second disk? did they really have no more room, or did they just wanna advertise it as 2 disks cuz it sounds like you get more?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WZEZHC

says there its just 1 disc...

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=598

says 2 discs there...

i seriously wouldnt worry about it. the 2nd disc would just be for special features anyway.

Is it just me, or do others cringe when they see disk or disks?

Don't worry. Mostly of time on 2nd disk or disc would be special features on Blu-ray. Spider-Man 3 was one to do that too.

I didn't know the difference for a while...but yes, I now cringe when I see disk or disks.

For those of you who don't know...to my knowledge, a "disk" is something that has moving parts like a hard disk, or a floppy disk.

A "disc" is something without moving parts like a CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc.

I don't cringe when I see either, because I know if push came to shove that I could annihilate either one in a fight.

Its an extra features disc if I am not mistaken.

Disc 1 = the film
Disc 2 = bonus features

Correct me if I am wrong.

IN that way they can give the best PQ AND SQ

Have a Look on Spiderman 3 ,POTC and ect...

If YOU NEED special extras and you care about it a second disc is needed and i'm with this idea if the feature disc can give the best possible encoding theory in PQ and SQ.

Here's why it's on 2-discs:

In case it's not legible the circled part reads:

AUDIO:
English Dolby TrueHD 5.1
English PCM 5.1 (Uncompressed)
French TrueHD 5.1
Portuguese 5.1
Spanish 5.1

Now let's just compare this to say Transformers whihc is on two discs, yet has ZERO uncompressed tracks since there was no room for it. Superbad has THREE of them, as well as two other DD tracks. Blu-Ray gives us the ultimate hi-def audio video presentation, while HD-DVD gives you the "I guess it'll have to be good enough" one.

Yes, it's 2 discs. The fact is that customers think "2 discs" is a better value. Who really cares if you get 1 or 2 discs as long as the main feature is on 1?

Feel free to "guess" on the choices made in authoring, but none of us can state facts on it. I'd wager an authoring house could have successfully put this 114 minute comedy & all supplemental stuff on one BD50 disc without impacting quality, especially if they dropped the redundant PCM track. But who cares?

Lets not forget the features on Disc 1 also... There's the on screen display thing that keeps track of all the swear words or whatever and then the commentaries... I'm all for this being a 2 disc set.
