Dark Knight grossed 158 mil opening weekend.

I vote yes, by 5 mil (163 mil)

I think it might. But, who knows. What we do know is that the film is going to be making a profit after this weekend thanks to releasing it a week early everywhere else.

I don't think so. Iron Man isn't as popular as Batman, and the Dark Knight had a lot of factors in it's favor, like extremely favorable reviews, whereas Iron Man 2 has only gotten decent-good reviews, and people wanting to watch Heath Ledger's final complete performance. I think Iron Man 2 will do great, but probably around $140 million. Not sure if the fact it's Mother's Day weekend will help or hurt the movie.

Keep in mind ticket prices are higher than they were 2 years ago...

Hopefully it won't. Having seen the film, it doesn't deserve it. It isn't as good as the first, in terms of how well it's put together.

But, this is opening weekend. Opening weekend is all about buzz and marketing. And in the case of a sequel, it's also all about how people felt about the last one.

I think it's going to break it, but by only a million or two. It's going to be very, very close.

I actually say yes, probably the most anticipated movie of the summer and a lot of people missed out on seeing the first one in theatres.

People hoping that it doesn't is just plain stupid. Is it going to change your life in any way if it does? Didn't think so, but if it does beat TDK's opening weekend, I'll send you some tissues if you'd like.

I voted yes. I think movie goers are eager for the first huge blockbuster movie to kick off the summer season. Plus, the first one was so good it took everybody by surprise including myself but not this one, the hype for this one is full force.
