Noob ? for onkyo hts-3200

This is the HTIB im looking into getting....

my ? is how do you get digital sound and the correct settings out if HDMI is pass through only and only video goes through....

how do i get sound to come out of my audio system?

Do i need a optical switch and cables coming from my tv, ps3, xbox, etc.

so hdimi in for video....need help with adio to get the best optimum sound.....


like i said....total noob question....

O...bricked my samsung 1500 so moved on to a ps3 for obvious advantages....

for hdmi on this system, you cant use hd audio. youll need to use optical for lossy like on dvd. if you want hd audio youll need a model that is a hdmi repeater.

the nest model up can handle it and is hdmi 1.4 for 3d when your ready (if at all). shop around for prices.
