I wanted to buy the hoax on blu-ray , But for some reason its not available on that format only dvd , Which I already own .

Disney owns the rights. There had originally been a listing for a blu-ray of The Hoax, but Disney must have changed their minds since it never released. Considering their lack of interest in providing live-action catalog titles, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for this one.
