Question Blades of Glory on Blu-ray a Hoax?

I remember seeing a listing on eBay for Blades on blu-ray with pictures and the movie playing with the pop up menu on. I haven't seen another listing since and it was going for over $400 when I saw it, was it pulled? Did Paramount sue him to take it down or something, what happened to all the alleged pressed Blu-ray copies of blades of glory? Ebay has none I think the rumors were a hoax. Can any one clarify?

I get plenty of attention , in fact I have my whole life. now I'm realizeing how different that was as most people get zero attention through out their lives.
I am not jealous that blades of glory is getting more attention than me.

Either those who got their hands on them are keeping them that way, or there just wasn't that many leaked!
I know the one on ebay surely appeared to be legit, and I don't understand why it was pulled from the auction (ebay didn't state why they pulled it), but it was pulled.
Nonetheless, it's a shame cause whether it was a good movie or not (i liked it) paramount would have seen the extent some people were willing to go to get a copy, that in itself should show them that their decision was erroneous!

I think I read somewhere it was pulled due to copyright enfrigement. (probably the pictures, screenshots etc. etc.) Not sure if that is the true reason though.

I don't know if it really did or if they were just erroneous reports. I know that a lot of people still don't know the difference between HD-DVD and Blu-ray (in fact, I have a picture on my phone I'm trying to get off that shows a Blu-ray promotion for PS3 at FYE and at the bottom of the ad it has 4 Blu-ray discs and one clearly marked HD-DVD even though the offer is Blu-ray only. I'll see if I can post that), but it is possible either someone at the shipping/packaging plant got them confused, or the people in the stores thought they were Blu-ray and get them confused.
It might be possible, but it might also be just a rumor. But it s a fact that as close to the release as it was, there HAS to be a lot of copies stored in a vault somewhere, probably waiting 17 more months until it can be released.

But I still say THAT MOVIE IS NOT WORTH HD! Sure it's funny, but there is NOTHING in it that screams "WATCH ME IN HD". Just stick with the DVD!

Here's the thread on AVS:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=898162

eBay removed the initial auction after an AVS member contacted Paramount posing as press.

The BD was relisted and sold with Buy It Now for $800.

The guy had pictures and everything.

We know that copies did make it to stores, there were ones that got out.

Paramount undoubtedly is simply going to warehouse them
