Default Can someone explain this to me?

Can someone explain this to me? I thought that Universal were not yet doing Blu-Ray discs. Doesn't this article say otherwise? This is why I have been so confused by you people around here saying that they are not doing Blu-Ray...yet.

Universal Music Group is a separate entity from Universal Pictures.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if Universal is using that as a way to keep an eye on things over in the Blu-Ray world.

I doubt it Universal is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vivendi, it only uses Universal's name and really has nothing to do with their business.

Universal Music Group is a whole different animal than Universal Pictures. Universal has the largest and most diverse recorded music collection in the world. Universal Music" was once the music company attached to studio Universal Pictures; its history is long and complex which has merged with NBC to form NBC Universal, with Vivendi SA .

The offical blu ray web site is
http://www.blu-raydisc.com/
If you have a look at the members
http://www.blu-raydisc.com/general_i...009/Index.html
You will see Vivendi Universal Games listed
The discussion was about Universal music, then someone dragged Vivendi into the debate - I thought it was quite simple to prove beyond doubt where they were BD vs Others.
