I love watching Eagles when it comes on tv. Even the Germans speaking in English doesnt bother me in the least. I would actually like to see that movie remade (and I dont say that one too often)

These two movies have been making their HD appearance on TV recently. Watched both of them. I'm hoping the BD's are sharper.

Anyone know if the UK editions are region free, everywhere I look they are marked as region B but that's kind of strange since Warner usually doesn't region code. I want to order these from the UK since I hate these double feature packages, but I need to know if they are indeed region free.

hmmm maybe this two disc set will exceed my image quality expectations. Wish Robert Harris had a copy in hand to verify. Where Eagles Dare is the one i've been waiting on.

Looks like the first early review is over at Home Theatre Forum.

Both discs seem to be BD50s and as noted in an above post feature dts master audio tracks.

Two disc set with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio is pure bliss.

I would have actually kept my Funny Farm/Spies Like Us set if they had been done like this, but since they were crammed together on one disc and each sported a 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio track I sold that disc. It also didn't help that both needed a new master done.

You do realize that if you can get this for $19.99 that's $10 per movie right? Also, since they are on separate discs you can can take them out of the case, print off the covers and put them in their own single disc cases. I am willing to bet that the individual releases would run at least $15 a piece.

Got my copy today courtesy of the WB Shop, but alas, I had to go to work. I also ordered "The Rookie" because I've always liked that one. It might as well be the sixth installment of the Dirty Harry series. I'm holding off on the other new Eastwood titles until the prices drop a little. But now I can continue my Clint Eastwood movie marathon (one movie a week in chronological order). It's been on hold ever since I found out that "Kelly's Heroes" was coming out on Blu-Ray, roughly five months ago.

HDNET Channel has been showing these two movies the last few days. The PQ and AQ is excellent. It looks like new transfers to me. If these are indicative of the Blu-ray's coming out, a lot of people will be happy.
