[DVD and BD]

Personally however I can't see how it would really need it. It was also the same composer as 28 days later and sunshine and they where remixes he did for the movie (after he saw those scenes with those songs as temp tracks).
[Show spoiler]Nicolas Cage possibly has the best scene in the film where he takes out all the thugs and lights the warehouse on fire (it had been to long since Cage had actually acted, which he does here), although when you first see hitgirl killing the drug dealers is just as good, especially how she did those cute smile at kick as inn between extreme carnage and lines like "lets see what you can do now ****s".
.
[Show spoiler]I've heard that in the sequel Big Daddy may be alive, which would be awesome. This would tie in with the suggestions that the future comic books would be darker. Honestly though I just want more hitgirl slicing up people and less kick ass who oddly enough after he became kick ass was the weakest part of the story albiet very far from bieng bad

There is? Not sure which part you are reffering to. I still doubt an extended version would get anything more then an MA15+, then again are rating system is kind of screwed. Final destinations extended version got an R, yet Aliens vs Predator Requiem got an MA rating and Predator got an M rating (a real wtf decision there).

The Final destination was not extended at all for it's R rating on DVD and BD, the extra content such as deleted scenes made the dvd and bd releases R. the film itself is MA but the ratings board think the impact was raised and required an R..

Interesting, I didn't pay much attention as I only finished the film film on blu as, well I don't know why, I think I convinced myself the end must be good if it's been as bad as it had been thus far. Honestly though, the director sucks, it's as if he doesn't even try.

Kick ass on the other hand kicks ass.

According the EzyDVD it's coming out a week earlier August 19th. I have my pre order in.

Good to hear. August 25 seemed so far away, and although it's only a week earlier, all the better. Would like to throw in my own pre-order too, but as much as I love it, $40 is way out of my price range. Ridiculous what Ezy charge for new releases.

You'll be able to pick it up for $30 on its release day.

The UK are apparently getting a SteelBook. Universal also released SBs for Wolfman and Green Zone both here and in the UK. Hopefully, an Aussie Kick-Ass SB is not too far behind!

Really disappointed in that cover art. But I'm glad it's not the US cover art, the 'Four faces with splatter brushes all over it' thing isn't very good either.

^ Well have no fear. JB will be offering you to customize your own coverart.

Was hoping it would be an SB. But I'll be sticking to the standard edition.
