First Photo Of Chloe in 'Kick-Ass'

Empire magazine has published an official photo of Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl/Mindy Macready in director Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass, based on Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.'s comic book.

The story centers on a high school dweeb named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change when he eventually runs into real bad guys with real weapons.

Aaron Johnson plays title character, while Lyndsy Fonseca plays the object of the teen's infatuation who believes Dave is gay. Cage is a former cop who wants to bring down a druglord and has trained his daughter (Moretz) to be a lethal weapon.

Played by Chloe Moretz, Mindy's a pre-teen assassin who's been trained by her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) since the age of four. "Think Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman rolled into one. She's an 11 year-old and she's the ultimate assassin. She kills, I think, 20 people in a minute."

The Comic is amazing and could be a kick ass movie (no pun intended) but I don't know how watching an 11 year old girl kill people is gonna fly especially here in the states. I'm interested in seeing how they handle those scenes.

Hahaha I know, when I read her age I was thinking, always a good idea to have an 11 year old catholic school girl murdering people, cause if there's one thing America isn't known for its children committing murder I have no knowledge of this comic and Nicolas Cage plays her father so there is always that suck factor before i even see the trailer. But as mentioned above this seems like bait for those Pederasses like "Da Jesus"

Yeah Millar did great with this one. I'm hoping if this does well that Chosen will be the next one made.

Why get upset about a girl that kills? It's a movie based on a comic book. Big deal. All she does is kill people.

The more work of Millar's that gets produced the closer we get to a Red Son movie!

Since you obviously know about this, what is the deal here? Why did her father train her to kill. On a side not, is every Millar comic based on Assassins? I have never read any so I honestly don't know.

She kills the bad guys the law can't touch. Not everyone is about assassins. Chosen is about a boy who can perform miracles and could be the second coming of Christ.

Red Son is the "what if" scenario of Superman landing in the USSR instead of the US.

He also did parts of Civil War and the Ultimates for Marvel.

Mark Millar wrote The Ultimates, which looks to be what the new Avengers movie will draw from. Those comics introduced the Samuel L. Jackson Nick Fury, for one.

Huh those do sound very diverse, I was just wondering if he only wrote Assassin books which is still good with me, just had no idea. But the 2nd coming of christ..........ah where's the action, is there an apocalypse or is it just a lame biblical story with talking and walking? I would prefer a movie about Jesus' brother Craig cause he is way more fun.

For me, it's not an upset at the movie (the final product) its about the young actress. IMHO seems a bit young for a role like that. Brooke Shields and Jodie Foster both regret some of their earlier (provocative) roles, and even resented their parents for condoning their involvement. Just my $.02.
