I would save up a few more hundred and get a Seaton SubMersive. It would cover the full range with authority.

But, given $1500 limit I still think I'd go with a single sub....maybe a Epik Dynasty.

For something completely different, get one or two Direct Servo subwoofers from Rythmik Audio. The quality of bass sound may surprise you.

Thumbs up I would buy two Outlaw Audio LFM 1 EX subs!

They give a discount for two so instead of the normal $649 you can get two for $1198. https://www.outlawaudio.com/mofcart/combos.html You can also get the http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/sms1.html Velodyne SMS 1 room correction unit for $299 when you buy one Outlaw Audio LFM 1 EX sub.

I have this sub and have a second sub I made and the Outlaw Audio is one of the best subs I have heard for music and HT.

I like the variety. There are many who search but get the same old answers. Blu-ray.com offers a good mix of opinions for newbs like me who enjoy learning from different thoughts and being able to formulate an opinion.

I certainly will read up on these suggestions.

Please keep them coming. As always thank you.

The HSU ULS-15 is on sale right now for $1099 with $60 shipping. It's wireless and they claim it "extends down to 10 Hz in most rooms".

I think I'll probably go with something like this. I like the flelxibility of going wireless.

Seriously 10Hz? Do you hear this or feel it?

I was going to buy a one Paradigm DSP-3400 for my room

http://www.paradigm.com/en/paradigm/...-5-24.paradigm

But with some help with some senior members on this forum i decided to buy two DSP-3100 subs for my room and iam very happy with my decision

http://www.paradigm.com/en/paradigm/...-5-24.paradigm

My bass sounds so even.I love it and recommend two subs over one sub any day

Ozzman... Ultimately I'd like to get where your at. Dual subs is certainly the goal, just a matter of time.

thanks

Feel it. It is more of a tactile feeling below 20 Hz (for most).

I'd read up in the forums on wireless before going that way. It would be nice, but I would want to be sure there aren't any issues first.

Good Stuff... I'd certainly like to know if anyone has hands on experience with this wireless connection. This probably defeats the purpose but, I guess you can always hook it up the usual way.

What track or movie actually goes down to 10Hz? That seems really low.

I don't know any off the top of my head. I think the Pulse HDDVD goes down to 15 Hz at least.

Here is a great thread about movies with lots of bass (w/ waterfalls - visual representation of the bass during scenes).

Check out the waterfalls for Cloverfield.

Thanks, i briefly skimmed through the thread and found most of the good LFE scenes were measured @ 20HZ. There is a parametric eq measure shown in Mr and Mrs Smith at 18:55:00 that drops to 10Hz. Hell yeah.

Ahhh... the Waterfalls that seems to be a great reference for some low dropping bass.

Smile teufal 1200 subwoofer

I have tuefal 1200 dual subwoofer with the Ultra2 thx seal of approval if its from germany just like Beo&Olusfen you know it's serious business. I crankup The Day the Earth Still and experience unheard bass that I felt and hear I was totally stunned this subwoofer can go with the best of the best and you won't be disappointed owning them.Any bass around 16hz or 10hz is the how you feel effect not the how you hear sound,Sorry if I post this up.This subwoofer is no joke at all Velodyne,Outlaw ,Bagend,Radia and any on the heavy hitter list
