Anyhow I found out i missed out on a 9.99 American History X which I had my eye on but didn't want to pull the trigger, good thing I waited
American History X is one of my all-time favourites. At $10 it's a must-buy.

Hey guy,

Is bourne trilogy worth a blind buy at 39.99$?

It says on FS website that the price ends at june 27th, so, I suppose if I pick it up sometime on june 25th it will still be the sale price.?

Indeed. The first 2 Bourne movies were great. Third was just a solid movie. You suppose correctly. I'll probably end up getting it at that price myself.

go to EB games, see if they have a copy of NBA 2K10 used (for $27.99), if so, buy it and trade it in! it is on future shops list of eligible titles!

Decent selection of BDs that are on sale. Not just the same old 9 dollar titles from the likes of Lionsgate. Picked up 2012 (2 disc+Digital Copy) Sand Pebbles, and Rescue Dawn. Pretty damn good deal at 14 and 9 bucks a piece. Ended up getting Equilibrium (Alliances open matte release) and Daredevil at 9 too. But those are always on sale. Everything else didn't really interest me.

I have tried price-matching 3 times at Future Shop, each time for the Best Buy price. Should be easy to do. The process is definitely not hassle-free, and I'm not going to bother doing it there again. Both times it worked out, I went to customer service, who sent me back to find a worker in the DVD section to deal with me first. That person had to go over to a display laptop in the electronics department and attempt to use their rather slow wireless connection to look up the item, then write out the information, which I then was to take back to Customer Service to deal with them. On one of those occasions, they did not provide the 10% discount. Not worth the fuss. The last time I tried it was the first week of January 2010. After going through this labyrinthine process, plus a phone call to a manager, they eventually told me that they would not match anyone's "Christmas" prices, as the item was on sale that week at BB for January, which counted as Christmas pricing for Future Shop.

That actually sounds like a legitimate reason not to price-match. There are a lot of crazy sales and deals during Christmas/Black Friday that are limited to only 2 or 5 per store. I don't think it is unreasonable to check and verify that they are not price-matching door crashers.

Maybe I am just at a really good Future Shop store. When I went in on Friday I brought FIGHT CLUB up with me to the cash and asked the cashier if she would be able to price-match it for me.

She asked me what the price was and where I saw it. I told her that Best Buy has it on sale this week for $9.99 and she said, "Sure, we don't want to walking across the street to Best Buy!".

She actually charged me only $8.99 and it saved me an extra trip.

You can add Kill Bill 1 & 2 to the $9.99 list.

you already got good answers, but i will add to it. the bourne series is my favorite boxset i own (next to the matrix collection) movies are all amazing! action, story, espionage, suspense... its got everything. and at only 30 bucks im super pissed at the people picking it up now. i got mine around a year and half ago and i paid $55 which i thought was a great price at the time. and now its half that, unbelievable! anyhow, not something i feel too bad about as ive watched my set twice over each movie so the purchase was well worth my $$.

i understand what your saying. it should be a painless process, but sometimes can get a bit sticky. in fairness to them thou, it is actually their policy NOT to pm boxing week/ christmas sales so you didnt get shafted there. i prefer going to fs over bb anyhow bcuz they are even worse for pm'in. i asked them to pm futureshop once (evening bringing in a flyer) and keep in mind its the same company and they wouldnt do it. it was a 50 pack of memorex blank media and they said they woudnt as the "web id number" was different from the ones on the fs site. what a load of BS. i just left and have not returned there since.

I've had some difficulties at Best Buy in the past with customer service, but overall I have found them much better and they have improved in the past year in my experience. Best marks go to the folks at the Toronto Downsview store for living up to the slogans like "hassle free" etc. They really are easy to deal with, and none of the labyrinth that I described from my Future Shop experiences.

Eek, I was with you until you brought up THE MATRIX. That is a one-hit wonder if you ask me.

Just one quick question.

Is the Bourne Trilogy a steelbook, or a regular plastic packaging?

I stopped by the FS in Boucherville today and noticed that they had the Planet of the Apes: 40th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray set on sale for $49.95. This is the version that includes a hardcover book. Great price for fans of the films. I was thinking of picking it up but I already have the DVD collector's set in the Ape head packaging and haven't made up my mind yet if it's a worthwhile upgrade or not.

I saw the Bourne set but I didn't know it was on sale because it had the regular price on it. I'll be going back to pick it up this week along with one of my guilty pleasures, Showgirls, which will be released tomorrow.

Marcus, the Bourne set is regular packaging, not steelbook.

pretty sure it's only 7 Bond titles

2 from each volume and 1 of the 2 standalone releases

so 2+2+2+1 = 7

I was hoping for Dr. No to be $10 as its the only one I need, but its one of the ones they decided not to lower the price on...

hopefully in the future

Checked the FS sale and it said till June 24 on No Country. Gonna go pick it up on the weekend. I had one from last year but I gave it to my dad because he loved the movie. Too bad it's only the 1-discer for that much.
