Ok, here's the updated list of NEW RELEASE ONLY movies coming out in 2008.

At first, I felt a little worried about the lack of new movies on blu-ray next year, but it turns out, the lists I was seeing were mysteriously missing many Blu-ray titles. Here is a list of new movies (not catalogue titles) coming out in 2008, which we can assume will likely be released on their respective formats at some time thereafter:

Looks like the only major releases red has is Indy and maybe Iron Man.

Well, I'm very angry, because after I posted this update, along with all of the "missing" Sony titles on AV_, I was banned for "inciting others" due to another thread (which was a real stretch), and the post of this movie list was disallowed. My "inciting others" was because I posted the message that the PS3 will be profile 1.1, and I was jumped-on because I posted someone's blog as proof, and nothing has come from Sony making this true. Certain individuals who are VERY pro-HD-DUD, jumped all over the thread, and when I said they were just didn't want to admit the truth that the PS3 will be 1.1, I was banned.

Their old list is still up there, missing most of the BR movies on this list.

This is why I don't buy their recent bull#@$t saying that they are neutral. Certain mods over there are blatently one-sided. Deleting my movie post is proof.

Anyone want to help me out and post this list for me? I've been banned for a few days.

American Gangster has received some good reviews. Let's hope Weinstein wake us and smells reality.

An article in today's LA Times indicated that Angels and Demons is slated for May 2009 release.

Seems like Blu has all the titles I wnat- excetp Sweeny- kinda sucks that Dreamworks get the US distribution on it- maybe it'll go dual format

I was reading an article the other day about how some people are upset because of how the main subject is portrayed in the film so different from reality.

It reminded me of how much they changed the main character of "Domino" from real life.

I saw the trailer for "Awake" (with Jessica Alba) the other day, and it's a "Weinstein" title.

"Wolverine" is 2009, not 2008.
