Sony is looking at 3/13 for both the Blu-Ray and SD release of the new James Bond movie. The HD-DVD camp will have to do without this one, of course.

DVDTimes has the UK date as March 19, from a preliminary Sony UK release schedule.

I wonder if they will release the full set at the same time? Does anyone know if it was filmed in digital or film? If Digital what resolution?

So as the DI was 2K, that means the projected image comes from a 820 x 1960 pixel source.

Wow. I need to get some of that Deci access pass.

2K only for the master? Wow. I guess cost is too prohibitive to do 4K post now. What would be sad is that when we upgrade from HDTV to UltraHD (yeah, I'm copyrighting that, baby!

), it won't look better than 2K upconverted.

The last telecine done for Se7en I believe was done 4K for archive and 2K for Home video release, from what I read.

Regardless, this is still good news.

It'd be sweet if Sony released it early on BD, then put out the DVD. Just to create some more hype.
