Hi Everyone, I was also looking into the Denon 4308 and was wondering why you would side with the Pioneer? Does it really outperform the Denon?

I prefer the sound of the Pioneer's over Denon's. But when you look at these 2 you have very similar products and one is $800 more.

Personal preference. I like the Pioneer's build quality, sound quality and its overall performance. Also, its design IMO is way more elegant then the Denon's.

I'll go Denon, but it completely depends on your situation.

I love the new Denon reveiver line, and will probably end up with a 4308 to go with my new Denon BD player... if they ever come out (and if I can afford to splurge on the new setup at the time). But I'll need to formally audition the Denon and a couple of other receivers to know for sure.

Either one of these would be a fine choice. But when you factor in price and features, I'd say go with the Pioneer Elite.
