What's up guys? I'm a newbie from South Florida and I found this site when I was looking for news on the bluray genre. I have two major questions on my mind right now:
1. Who do I contact if I find a deal on blurays? 2. There's a version of bluray that lets you see in movie experiences. I think terminator 3 will be the first movie to offer this...but does anyone know when the update for the ps3 will come out that includes this version of bluray? I asked question 1, because I would like to help you guys find deals on websites for the blurays. Right now AMAZON has a one day sale of buy 2 get one free for Cyber Monday. |

This "version" of Bluray that you are referring to is called Profile 1.1 and there is only speculation as to when it is coming to PS3. Lots of topics on this so far. There is also a section on this site called something like "Less green, more Blu" that has all of the current sales and so-forth listed within it. Take a look around, lots of stuff to see here and welcome!

Right now, we have a member who keeps out news articles updated with sales like that once a week. That sale has already been posted. But if you see anything, post it in the appropriate section (deals) and people will see it.
As for "in movie experiences", there are several already released that have "in movie experiences", such as Cars. However I think you are talking about Picture in Picture (PiP). Keep your eyes open on the news articles, there are a number coming out in january that will have what is called "profile 1.1" which will allow PiP. Terminator is not one of these. Yes it has PiP, but it does not use profile 1.1. It uses something else Blu-ray has exclusive, seamless branching. This means part of the movie was rendered twice, once with and once without the PiP, and it will seamlessly go to the appropriate scene based on what you chose when you started the film. It is just as good as PiP, and works on these titles cause of the extra space Blu-ray has that HD-DVD does not have. Hope this helps. Keep your eyes open on here for the latest posts and news reports, and be sure to use the search tool on the forums as well. |

Yup, all my buddies have bluray due to the ps3. There's probably a color coordinated map for the predominatly blu/hd states on the web some where. Thanx for the warm welcome and I'm glad I joined this site, because I can see it's extremly informative already!!!
