Sony is a central entity in the Hi Def format the members of this forum choose to discuss and enjoy. Microsoft is a staunch supporter of that other format, with all that that entails. But you know this...

Well, it is Microsoft bashing... but it's deserved. They just chose not to bash Nintendo, even though it was easy to do as well.

If you finish next to last/near last, it doesn't mean you're doing great either. So it surprises you they bash MS?

I don't think there was an actual argument in place...

I was explaining why Nintendo being at the bottom wasn't as big a deal as MS being right near the bottom...

it doesn't let Nintendo off the hook...but MS has a slew of products available other than gaming consoles..

Because out of the two M$ sucks the most. Seems logical to me, Nintendo doesn't sit so high with me all the time but damn I just wish M$ would just go away and never come back.

M$ deserves to get bashed, and here's why.

M$ = Hypocrisy

Quote from them two years ago, or so.

"Blu-ray? Hi-def gaming? Who needs that Sony? People just want games."

Well, as of now, M$ went into hi-def market. First, by forcing 360 owner to purchase an external add-on HD-DVD drive. Second, by backing up Toshiba dead and inferior format in order to put Blu-ray down.

If that's not enough, they upgrade their system to "360 Elite".

M$ hate Sony so much, and they have the right to.
It's not M$ fault they suck in gaming territory and keeps getting their ass kick.

I can't wait till 360 comes out with another edition, this time with Blu-ray drive.

1. And your only posts in this thread are about defending MS instead of applauding Sony. Which one was more deserving of your response? Does this mean your blatently anti-Sony and blatently pro-Microsoft because your response cared about one and not the other...like the OP?

2a). Not sure why the OP would have made the point about Nintendo rather than MS..now that would have been bashing given the context of blu-ray.com..but last time I checked Amir and the other MS cohorts spreading their FUD don't work for Nintendo.

2b). And while you may characterize it as bashing .. it's based on independent studies by a highly respected organization in this area. How is it bashing to highlight their conclusions that MS is pathetic in this area and Sony has pulled themselves from a similar place into a leadership role. That's just the facts..according to Greenpeace anyway.

M$ is the only reason why there is a HDM 'war' in the first place.

What do you take? Good hardware (PS3) or bad proprietary software (Windows Vista)?

Yes, I dislike Sony for Memory Stick , But in the Alfa A700 you can use CF.

Anyway, I will now finish my chocolate bar based on organic/ecological and fair trade ingredients from Bolivia and The Philippines. Yum.

to put this to rest, not that i won't be quoted 20 more times, but i was simply annoyed that the thread title rips on microsoft, as if nintendo didn't finish worse. if we're talking on a broad scale, then yeah its pretty bad. but thats not the way the op worded it. he included nintendo. which means he was basing this, if not wholly, partly on the console war. hence my beef.

but i really don't care, look how many responses the thread got because of me. this place would be boring without me

Proly after. The big thing Apple should get hit with is using certain chemicals in their cording and earbuds. Very fun chemicals with very long degradation times and very bad side-effects on human health...

That said I haven't read the report, and going off other information for that ramble rant.

Nintendo's score wasn't because of environmental concerns, rather that they didn't give greenpeace the information they wanted.

Yep. Microsoft still is the loser. Nintendo? Who knows. But they can't create that much pollution. Wiis are essentially 2 gamecubes duck taped together. Hell the Wii shortage is just Japan running out of ducktape.
