Default Blue Ray vs. Iomega Rev

There has been recent buzz about the Iomega Rev drive. Could the Rev and Blue Ray be considered competitive products?

well rev is my favorite because its in a cartridge and it can be accessed just like a hard drive ,eg you can add to and delete from it without having to erase it completley...but if BD is made in a cartidge and can be accessed like a hard drive ,im all for it.

Rev and Blu-ray aim at two different markets.

Blu-ray aims at the DVD market, while Rev aims at the alternative PC storage market.
Rev isn't that versatile as BD...

That is correct, that both the Blu-Ray and Rev aim at two different markets.

This can be seen currently in the markets today or in the past with Iomega's portable Zip drive.

It is fair to say that there wasn't anybody who used them as a media viewer.

Mmm...

Blu-ray disc aims at the current position of the DVD in the PC market...
As for Iomegas REV, it will have a war too.. I think... With HVD.
