Default Tversity CPU power requirements.

I've been messing around with TVersity today on the PS3 and I was wondering what the best settings are.

I have a 54mbps G wireless connection thats less than 10 feet away from either the PC or the PS3 so the reception is excellent. If I try to play anything HD I get a pause symbol about 1 minute into the video and I cannot get it to continue. Is that because its a WMV being converted into MP4 and my PC isn't up to the task of streaming a converted file fast enough?

The quality seems about 10% worse than hard wiring my PC to the TV via VGA but I thats expected.

I'm using a 2GIG ram, 1.7ghz Duo core 2 laptop.

Playing AVI's seems to be fine but again the quality isn't great. CPU on my laptop peaks every 5 or so seconds but then goes back down to 5% ish.

I will be happier when the Divx FW comes out I think.

Not 100% sure about the requirements, what kind of video card do you have in there? 2GB ram should be enough, 1.7 dual core might just make the cut.

I think it will definitely be worth the wait for divx!

Make sure you change the configuration of Tversity and for best result, use the right codecs. If done properly, you can pretty much stream HD quality video over ethernet. CoreAVC Professional is the most efficient codec for HD if you are cpu challenged.

The video card is not important when it comes to Tversity.
