Watched "Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief" this week. Very good LFE throughout, and some great effects at Chapter 24 Son of Poseidon (1:38:36)!

Agree on Percy Jackson, the Bass is sick in that movie.

I rented Iron Man 2 last night on Blu-Ray, it does NOT disappoint in the bass department either.

I think this is a great thread, we should keep going.

I didn't want to repeat, so I will add something different.

In Fight Club, where Ed Norton goes nuts punching Jared Leto's character (I think the scene is called "Psycho Boy") is pretty amazing. It really makes your stomach drop while watching it, recognizing the devestation of each punch. Fight Club really has some amazing bass, that doesn't get recognized as much as some of the big boys bass movies.

Silent Hill.

The low frequency sweeps that descend pretty deep.

Bump to try to keep this thread alive, but How to Train Your Dragon, when the big dragon breaks out of the mountain. Holy Cow...that is just awesome.

Huh, I didn't feel any bass in that movie at all.
Kinda dissappointed with that one considering it's an 'End of the World' type movie.

I agree...for me 2012 was the absolutely biggest missed opportunity in the subwoofer world. With some of those images in that film, I kept thinking...this should be right up there with Cloverfield and War of the Worlds and instead it was extremely dissapointing.

+1 - I thought this ("2012") movie would have some seriously Thumping going on. Not that much.

Not the best movie in the world but the LFE is crazy....Last Air Bender. Pretty much any combat scene the big one being the fight between fire and water.

I watched Percy Jackson over the weekend. I was blown away by the LFE on this one. There were several scenes that rank up there with the best of them. I just wish the movie was better...I liked it, but not one I would purchase. Certainly worth a rental if you like your bass thought.

AVP on DVD....

Scene # 24 called “Fire down below” … When the Predator blow up the entire underground and they are jumping on the speed sled going up.

The explosion was beyond amazing, I swear to you, I can’t think of anything that compares to it right now(maybe skadoosh from K.F.P comes close)

Just a reminder, I am in the basement and sitting on solid concrete. It actually felt like an earthquake in my room.

I've been watching quite a bit more movies lately since I got the Hsu. We watched the Finding Nemo DVD this afternoon and that's another one that has some crazy LFE. Chapter 25 - the scene where the girl taps on the fish tank scared the Sh!t outta me!! I wasn't expecting that at all. The whole movie sounded good - cant wait for this one to come out on Blu too..
