from what iv'e read around on the net the weinstein's are low on the cash these days after making some stupid choices , i believe they are working with sony to bring some films to bluray they may be waiting for the High Def Market to settle after getting burnt on HD DVD.

I think this is pretty much true. I have read somewhere in one of the Home Video magazines that some of the smaller companies that did release on HD DVD are yet to break even on that investment. Wish Sony would give them a deal on encoding and replication.

If a company doesn't support blu I don't support them. When Weinstein comes to they're senses and dumps the dud's they can count on my business.

I never really cared about Rob Zombie in the past because in my opinion, his movies were lame, but now I thought he did a pretty good job on this new Halloween movie.

All of Rob Zombie's other films are Lionsgate. Don't know why he switched.

I just watched Unrated Director's Cut the DVD the other day & agree that this would look amazing on BLUE

The Weinstein's really have a nice collection of movies under there banner don't know why they would want to sit on them and not release them in blu.

That movie isn't even worth being on any next-generation format. Thank God Carpenter's version is blu.

Paidgeek said that? I sure hope it happens sooner rather than later. Although other than Halloween, the only other Weinstein title I can think of that I'd buy is Clerks II.

i think paidgeek hinted at the first title the Weinsteins were going to release on blu ray was grindhouse but that was a while ago.

I think we should be spared the dud on the Blu-ray disc format.

Yeah, the remake was a complete letdown. I wish Zombie would get his head out his ass now. First he remakes Halloween, next he's remaking CHUD.

Nothing can touch the original Halloween.
