Being a huge Halloween fan (I've got the pumpkin knife from the cover/poster of the original tattooed on my right shoulder), I can't say I was a big fan of Rob's version. But I definitely would've bought it if it came out on Blu. Any word on why its not coming out on blu?

Being this is a Halloween thread does anyone have the the original Haloween (1978) on Blu-ray.I would love any input on how it looks,sounds and so on.And I am courious as well to find out why Zombies version isn't out on blu-ray.

The original Halloween looks great, sounds good but not great. The day time scenes look awesome, especially the greens of the grass and trees. The sound isn't stellar, but it does its job. If you're a fan, get it! PQ is great, and its Halloween.

Rob Zombie's Halloween is the only remake I like better than the original. (Except of course Departed, but that was a no brainer, Scorcesse could improve many classic movies)

Pretty disappointing! After watching it at the theaters, I was so confident it was coming to blu-ray but guess not. But who knows, it probably will be on blu-ray someday. Anyone know which studio it came from?
