Default Red Dragon Amps

Anybody own these?
Did a search, came up with a single mention in one of the theory threads.
The 500w mono blocks are only $699. That's cheaper than D-sonic and the likes. All in a nicer looking box.

They actually sell two different mono block amplifiers that seem to be very good value.

Yep, precisely. There are a few reviews on their site too.
There are a few reviewers that claim these, along with other class D amps, don't do the highest frequencies real well. That is why for me, I think for the money and performance these are a nice match for powering the lower end of bi-ampable speakers. Almost all the subs use these class D amps now, so it makes sense. Seems like a heck of a value for bass headroom on quality speakers.

It is true that Class D amplifiers were initially used for low fidelity and subwoofer applications. However, a lot has changed in the last couple of years. For example, Rotel's high end amplifiers are Class D.

I am aware some are now using the Ice power amps for everything now.
The reviews were recent.
The Rotel stuff looks a lot better than it used too though.
I'm all for more power for less money and less power used.

Nope. I was looking at Class D amps some time ago - forgot who the made them, but they used ICE - but got off that train when people started talking about the limitations in the higher frequencies. I initially passed it off as rumor, but it kept coming up and from reputable sources. I know Rotel has their own (not sure if they use ICE), but the price isn't right.
