Well, according to some HD DVD fanboys at AVS, DD+ at 640kbs is enough for movies.

I don't believe Universal uses DD+ with a low bitrate, it's usually 1.5MBPS DD+.

I just finished watching this on SD upconverted on my Sony player. Was a pretty good movie, but I kept thinking to myself, "if only this were on Blu."

If all goes according to plan, I'll be doing the same on my PS3 in a few days. Been looking forward to the release, definitely had hoped it would come to Blu-ray as well.

No big deal though, it's not like DVD's look bad when upconverted. I am not that silly about it.

It was a good movie, but the sound was a little bland. Explosions didn't have that "boom" that it should. Surrounds weren't really "there" either. Just average sound and really nothing to get excited about. Hopefully a Blu version will be out soon with decent audio.
