Default PCM lossless vs. DD/DTS TRUE HD Lossless

Hey for you guys who have experience with these two formats, give me ur input as to which one sounds better.
AS u may have noticed the new sony bdps300 doesn't have TRUE HD (decoding so I'm wondering if I can be satisfied with the pcm which is on most of the movies I want.
just tell me which one u guys think sounds better

The definition of lossless is the input and output match bit for bit. There would be zero diffrence in the three.

2 question how do you get uncompressed codecs to your tuner if it does not have HDMI. I think you can get uncommpressed at least 2 ways HDMI, of course and 6 analog cables.

Do all lossless codecs sound the same? If there all a bit for bit audio transfers they should theoretically all sound all sound identical? They should?

I have run both hdmi and six channel analog from my sony bdps-1; and I prefer the six channel analog sound. It definitely sounds more rich and ambient. Especially sounds good with PCM audio.

Q#1: In teemacone's case, doesn't this depend on the quality of the audio decoder and d/a converters inside the BDP-S1 versus those in your particular receiver?

I have the BDP-S1 too. Although I don't know the internals of this unit, I can tell you that the LPCM through the analog outs to my Denon 3805 receiver is mind-blowing. I was in sheer awe during both of the Pirates movies.

I can't say anything about the HDMI audio out though, since I don't have this capability with my receiver.

Q#2: Does the BDP-S1 output the LPCM (and in the future DD+ and D-THD) through HDMI and the analog outs?

A1: Yes, It depends on the D/A converter.

A2: Yes, it will.

One can also se DTS-HD M.A. and Dolby TrueHD as a .zip/.rar of the uncompressed PCM track.

That's how it's suppose to be, but I can notice a difference in favor of LPCM. That means onw is not lossless. I have a thread on this already in the Home Theater discussion section.
