Default Any Thunderstorm Lovers??

After Christmas/Winter - I always look foward to thunderstorms, lightning and rain. The light from the lightning and the sounds are great. Makes me sleep good too

Anyone else love them?

Absolutely. Unfortunately with the bad drought this year, good storms have been few and far between.

I miss New Orleans. You could always count on lots of storms, thunder and lightening.

Yeah, not a drop of snow here this year. I hope we get some good rains this summer though. It's about the ONLY thing I look forward too in the heat

T-storms are one of the things I miss most. We hardly have any up here, may a couple of small ones in the spring. I don't miss the severe ones, though, and I don't miss the three day power outages. On the other hand, a wicked blizzard can be just as much fun, if you don't have to go out.

Had that happen a few years back. However it lasted for nearly 30 minutes. Half the sky turned this pale emerald green and black against a gray/blue sky. It was like an infection was taking over. The smell was incredible and the wind picked up too. Loved it.

I absolutely love them being from the Midwest. My soon to be wife absolutely hates them being from Colorado. Unfortunately for me, there really isn't that many thunderstorms in Southern California. I miss them.

The previous 06 summer we were very lucky with a T-storm-a-day building off Mt San Jacinto, but this summer it wasn't nearly as many or as big. Most years we get one good Thunderstorm a year, mostly at night and always when I'm asleep.

Needless to say it makes me a very sad panda.

my wife and i love the, but unfortunately in sd we rarely get them. the mountains to the east and northeast ensure they stay in the desert.

I like them within reason. I have lived in both extremes...

Tampa, FL with daily summer storms where a UPS is pratically mandatory

Orange County, CA where rain, and storms in particular are almost non-existent

Somewhere it the middle would be ideal.

I hear ya. We have actually had several inches of rain the past two weeks. We're still more than 20 inches below normal for the year, though.
