Movie Making/Editing Blunders!

I thought I would start a thread about editing/scene blunders. You know, those scenes in movies where in one frame you see it one way, and then in another, it's totally different? That's what this thread is for!

Rush Hour 1 - Near the end where Tucker and the bad Chinese guy were in the money room - In Tuckers view, the money in the suitcase was perfectly flat and neat. In the bad Chinese guys view, the money in the suitcase was all messed up.

Prison Break - Season 1 - When the kid was watching his dad on tv about the riots and his mom comes in with his step dad, she turns off the tv and you can see the entire filming crew in the tv reflection.



I also love how in movies - the windshield of cars is standard plate glass that just shatters into lots of dangerous shards. If anyone knows anything, windshields are NOT like that. They are safetey glass. It is 2 pieces of glass with a piece of plastic sandwiched between them (laminated). So when/if it sustains blunt force - it will crack and very little if any pieces will be disloged. It remains as one solid piece for safety reasons.

Die Hard 3. The scene where they are crawling along the cable above the ship. The truck goes over the edge and the cable takes out the bad guy.

One frame before the dummy gore is a stuntman being yanked back by a clear harness and rope.

The Fifth Element: LeeLoo breaks of the reconstruction chamber by punching out an obvious cut-out.

Down In The Valley-There's a scene towards the end, when Ed Norton and Evan Rachel Wood are riding horseback, and Ed Norton's mustache mysteriously disappears, which is weird because before that scene he didn't have one for the entire movie...but has one on the cover.

Yes, the leeloo chamber break out scene - that scene bothers me so much because of that obvious cut out. Terrible!

Also the obvious aluminum foil they used for the wall where she punches through.

This is an old one . . . in American Pie, when Stiffler is sitting on the bed with the girl at his party, the cup of beer with the . . . stuff . . . in it, changes color a couple times.

Star Wars Ep. 4 (not sure if this has been digitally corrected) . . . in the scene where the Storm Troopers rush through the door on the Death Star to find C3PO and R2D2, one of the Storm Troopers nearly takes his head off as he hits his head on the door.

Edit: It's still there on the DVD . . . timestamp 1:22:25. Watch the guy on the right.

Pearl Harbor - the scene right after the Arizona explodes (bomb going through the hull) is a scene with Cuba Gooding Jr carrying a plate. When he feels the explosion, he drops the plate and runs - to his side, you see the other CAMERAMAN - (or something) ever SO BLATANTLY

Eps II, AOTC, the clones eating, you can c they forgot to add food to the plate...so the clone is just cutting an empty plate...

Die Hard 1 - The grey jump suit guy that was sent down on the elevator "dead" by john - moves his eyes and moves his head a few seconds before hanz moves it with his hand.

Also, when john fights the same guy on the top floor, they throw each other into the drywall, you can see the wigs and the stund people, especially when they fall down the stairs. Very terrible scene. They should do something with it, maybe cut it out or something.

Twister - The scene where they drive through the house and past all the farm equipment on the road. One scene the truck windshield is cracked badly because a farm machine hit it, the next scene it is perfectly fine.

The siren used on the "dorothy" machines - that same sound has been used in COUNTLESS other movies. Pretty sad.

That may be more of a soundman's joke than a mistake, like the Wilhelm Scream.

300: before the spartan king meets the persian king the first time and they are standing in the middle of bodies and people are walking around spearing them there is a extra lying behind the two characters who no one bothers to spear so he is wiggling around for a while then stops adjusts his head gear then starts wiggling around again .

The Beyond : one of the actors as a joke loads his six shooter by dropping bullets down the barrel the editor did'nt notice and left it in the main cut of the film.

Dawn of the dead : a biker is standing the parking lot with a machine gun and he is attack by a group of zombies so he starts shooting but the camera is ill placed so it appers he is shooting at nothing.
