Default Is there an official name for the discs yet? BD? Blu-ray?...

I'm just curious if it's "official" that the new Blu-ray discs will be called "BD".
When I go into a store and ask where do I find DVD's a store clerk should know. However, when the Blu-ray discs arrive will I be asking where is the "BD" department or where do I find your "Blu-ray" discs. They shouldn't still be called DVD's because they really won't be. Does anyone really know if they will be truly called "BD"???

BD but it doesn't really matter what they're called cause most clerks aren't going to know what you're talking about when the format first lauches. With DVD inquiries, clerks finally stopped asking me what I was talking about when DVD was over three years old. Just try and find a clerk that knows what SVHS is. I haven't found one yet. :P

You must have been shopping at a high-end electronics store then. All of the big name retailers I've asked don't know what I'm talking about.
