Default panasonic bd 10 rattles

i can hear the mechanism of my bd player rattling regularly and it's fairly loud. sound and vision is no problem. works perfectly - plays all films without any problems. only the rattling is a little annoying. anyone else noticed this or should i contact a repair center ?

I don't have a stand alone bd player, but you shouldn't be hearing any rattling sound let alone loud. If it annoys you trying exchanging it for a new one. Could be a sign that its about to break down. Again, I don't have a bd stand alone so I can't tell you if thats normal.

Hi if you mean the clonking directly after the draw closes, it appears to be the pickup assembly selecting the appropriate optical unit (remember in the 10A there is a standard Pana blue ray burner) not a fault mine is exactly the same

it only rattles during playback of blu-ray films. normal dvd playback is silent. it's the kind of noise it makes when you skip chapters, but it seems to go on and on during the whole film (I have the impression it also depends on the film. Fantastic 4 is very noisy). as I'm sitting close to the player (it's connected to a projector above my head) the noise is distracting. however, the quality of video and audio is impeccable.
