Wink Tracking new member numbers...

Hi, I'd like to know if Blu-ray.com has been tracking recent increases in member numbers, especially in light of the Warner move. Just how many Blu-Brothers and Sisters have we welcomed (or mocked, in some cases)? Do you have any graphs to show membership since inception? I think that'd be interesting (Especially if you could put little arrows showing where spikes correlate with Blu-Ray milestones - like last Friday)

Piece.

Steve

I have run several other boards and with vBulletin what you ask for would be very easy for an administrator to get from the control panel. I think it even graphs it for you!

Agreed. There should be no problem in obtaining the information. If anything you can always plop it into Excel and create a graph.

Well, just for example, if I search by new members since Jan 3 (day before the big blast), I get 450 new members.

Welcome to the forum and Blu. The PS3 is a great Blu player and it's even got some usefulness as a game system too!

Just under 19,000 members right now... I can tell you I've been watching it, and I could swear only a week ago it was under 18,000!

The member list number is probably more accurate.

It shows just over 15000 members.

Is this normal?

I just saw that... just out of curiosity Gary, why does the main forum say 19,0xx members, and then the member list only have 15,000 or so?

19000 - 15000 = 4000 troll accounts

No worries, this is just a precation against trolling. After 3(?) days you will be able to post new threads in all parts of the forum. You can however start new threads in the Newbie Discussion forum. Fortunately the trolling has decreased quite a lot (WB announcement etc) and we will remove this restriction as soon as possible
