Yes, I can pay extra if Ayngaran can add separate menu to play all songs. The Lotus and Sruthi DVDs are already out. So there is no excuse for Ayngaran not to start work on this. Hope they already bought the rights for this. Also Ayngaran process is really slow. So if they start now, at least we will get this by end of this year.

Ko is being worked on.

I've recently supervised and approved the encode made by AP International, and we've shown our encode to the Director to get his approval of the colour timing used.

He is very happy

Should be expected for a late september release.

The reason for the delay is so that the quality is of the highest standard. After the Best Song of 2010 blu-ray fisco (which was rushed out for quick release) QC on all Ayngaran blu-ray's will be more stricter and time consuming. I'd rather release a product one year late - if it means consumers get the best possible quality.

Refreshing to see an attitude like yours, Sunny. I wish you would get the opportunity to do blu-ray encodes for some truly worthy films.

Sadly, Im not rich enough to buy rights to great classics like Dalapathi, Nayakan, Iruvar, Sethu, Paruthiveeran, Subramaniapuram, Naan Kaduval - The festival cut etc.... Tamil cinema is full of wonderful cinema which should be released on Blu-ray.

I'm trying my best to get Kandukondain Kandukondain onto blu-ray before the end of the year.

India/Bollywood 'Ko' blu-ray

Both 'Ko' and 'Kandukondain Kandukondain' will be first day buys for me when they eventually come out. Way to go Sunny - I wish the other companies releasing Bollywood blu-rays would also consult/employ someone of your caliber so that we consistently get great quality Hindi blu-rays too..

Some great choices. While I don't care for Iruvar as a film (boring IMO), it's look, capturing the evolution of Tamil cinema over the ages, would be a good challenge to represent in a faithful manner on HD. Dalapathi's excellent lighting schemes and shot compositions would be a treat for the home theater.
Naan Kadavul is one of the best Indian films I've seen, and it would have a fantastic visual texture on HD which will not be seen in many of the glossy commercial "family entertainment" films that are dominating the Indian BD market these days.

I can't comment on this. Not sure what Sun Pictures are doing with this film.
I doubt Ayngaran will release this on Blu-ray now... Even if we had the rights I doubt Sun Pictures would give us the original DPX files, all the HD Behind The Scenes footage, the CGI workflow processes, and deleted scenes. Too much politics between Sun Pictures and Ayngaran.
