Default Just left Blockbuster... listen to this...

i went to my local blockbuster to rent sunshine to see if i like it before i bought it, and i asked the guy working when will blu ray be available to rent since other stores are carrying them to rent, and he said never, because blu ray is predicted to fall this year and they are going to only carry hd dvd starting in February?? Isn't that odd??

I bet he was a 17 year old pimply faced teenager. I wouldn't put much stock in what a floor employee says. Blu-ray has won for all intents and purposes. No need to panic.

Sounds like Blockbuster guy used to work for Best Buy, as he knows about as much. Maybe Blockbuster got a deal to go HD-DVD Exclusive, LOL.

I just left McDonald's and asked about new menu options. Apparently, according to the well-informed cashier, McDonald's is poised to purchase a number of high profile restraurants owned by some of the finest chefs, including Emeril, Wolfgang Puck, and the majority of restaurants mentioned in the Zagat survey.

You see how rumours can be spread. Do not post threads that are based on retarded information from poorly educated plebes. Let the stock boy give his insider information. If he knew better, he would be at least the shitty manager that never stepped out of his office to speak with the public.

Go back to blockbuster after becoming well informed from here & slap his face out right with the facts, tell him how blockbuster is practically Blue exclusive & how WB just went Blu exclusive & HD-DUD is finally dead in the water & gone to sleep with the fishes for all it's 'good' it was doing such as choking the life out of HD movies on disk like M$ wanted

Well, if a clerk at Blockbuster said it, then it must be true.

I have Netflix right now but the wait is so long for BD so I sign up with BB free trial. They have less BD than Netflix and I don't like their site. It sucks. Netflix is much more organize and easier to navigate.
I'll cancel it before my trial period is over.

All the Blockbuster here are diminishing their HD-DVD stock.. all have huge Blu-ray backstocks in addition to the new release wall. Over 80 total I would say easily..

BB dropped interest in HD-DVD a long time ago and that has not and will not change.
