Bdp S300 - Blu-ray Forum

I was in the middle of watching POTC:AWE and it froze. It froze for a good 2-3 minutes then started playing again. Anyone else have a problem with movies freezing or anything of the sort?

Is your firmware up to date? Version 3.7?

Check the disc for dirt, even the smallest amount can have an effect.

+1, I've had no problems with the BDS300 playing the POTC movies, reguardless of the firmware. One fingerprint however....

I haven't watched any of the POTC movies yet but I rented Reign of Fire from Netflix and it would not go past scene 3. The disc looked fine but I just sent it back anyways and didn't bother getting another one. Maybe there was something little there that I didn't notice that bothered it.

I had a similar problem with a different movie and contacted Sony. They had me unplug the unit and plug it back in and I have not had a problem since.

Oh wow good idea. Maybe it clears the memory or something that found an error on the disc? I will keep that in mind, thanks
