This utility updates the BDP-S300 firmware to version 3.20, and provides the following benefits:
Improvements over firmware version 2.60:

• Improves BD-Java compatibility to enhance interactivity with some BD-ROMs.
• Compatibility with the newly released BD-R/RE format (BDMV).

Additional improvements over original firmware:

• Improves BD-Java compatibility to enhance interactivity with some BD-ROMs.

WOO HOO, updating mine tonight. BD-R? Excellent! The thought of burning my own home video on BD-R just became twice as likely.

Any improvement in load times on BD-J as a result?

I updated mine this weekend and no, does not seem to load pirates any faster.

Well, here are some load times I am getting with 3.20.
Anyone have more 2.0 or 2.60 load times?

POTC 1: 17 seconds to close - 1:54 to load. ver 2.60 = 1:58
POTC 2: 18 seconds to close - 1:10 to load. ver 2.60 = 1:44 Sweet.

Fantastic 4: 14 seconds to close - 00:25 to load. Cool.
Fantastic 4 RotSS: 17 seconds to close - 1:54 to load

Spider-man 1: 18 seconds to close - 1:35 to load
Spider-man 2: 18 seconds to close - 1:34 to load
Spider-man 3: 17 seconds to close - 1:39 to load
Spider-man 3 disc 2: 14 seconds to close - 00:25 to load

Overall menu response seems a bit better over 2.60 as well. What will 4.x bring us?
