Default will bluray look better on my screen than dvd currently does

the topic may be a bit misleading but as i have a 28" 50hz widescreen will i notice a sexier picture?

Absolutely. The picture will be far more detailed. You'll see every zit, scar, etc - whether you want to or not.

Not enough info to determine this. If you dont have an HDTV, then you aren't going to have much picture quality differences between a Blu-ray and DVD.

With a 50Hz TV, I am guessing you are from Europe somewhere?
