Question no full screen if source is bluray- samsung ln-t4069f

recently found samsung ln-t4069f lcd < $1000. fantastic dvd and bluray picture through ps3. problem: blurays at 2.40:1, 2.35:1, etc. will not fill the screen no matter which option of size is entered in the menu. 1.85:1, etc. automatically fills the screen. if can't find solution, thinking of returning for sony with zoom option.

I just don't understand how in the 21st century there can be people who have hdtv, blu-ray, internet access, etc. but don't understand aspect ratios. However, I should not be throwing stones as I grew up with film having collected anamorphic Super 8mm features like 2001, Star Trek TMP, Thunderball, etc. when I was 14. (- and that was a lot of paper route money!)

Paint your TV bezel black, turn off all the lights, and you won't see how it's not full screen.

Lightbulb i got it!

i understand the directors vision and the various aspect ratios, i just need to know if i want to fill the screen like i can on my 60" xbr1 (zoom) that this tv (samsung ln-t4069f) is capable. also, do the smaller sony's (46w4100) offer the zoom feature as i may trade out. i know when i zoom i will lose parts of the picture- my bad. parts of some films should be lost.
