Leaks about what? This isn't like two years ago where we were getting a new slim PS3 and a price drop. The only real big thing that can happen is a price drop.

On CAG someone who works in retail stated they saw an internal email/memo today that stated the PS3 would price drop to $249.99 starting the 17th. Also, on Newegg there was a new 320gb Infamous 2 bundle that comes with month free of PS+ and Infamous 2.

Really, would they do that? All I can see them doing is matching the price, which is what they did during the last price drop.

Going lower would make a much bigger splash.

A LOT of people have been waiting for this generation of consoles to drop down to $199 for a long time. That's when the PS2 got most of it's sales. That's long been considered the "sweet spot"

It beats staying at $299, but if Sony really wanted to set the tone for the holiday season I think going to $199 would be the right move.

I am sure many people will give the speech about how great a value the PS3 is at $249 (and I agree its a GREAT value), but at this stage of the game people care most about price and those concerned with value already own a PS3.

Oh well, I already own a PS3 and its possible that economic realities might not make a drop to $199 possible, but I felt that Sony had a huge opportunity to really punch the 360 in the gut but all they did was jab and leave themselves open to a counterpunch.

My wish list here would be for a price drop for the PS3 as many of you have mentioned and a fingers crossed for an oficial UK PSV release and price (yes a few retailers already have it available at £230 but Sony have said nothinbg, gues they're going the Nintendo route) as everyone seems to forget the UK these days, we are not a part of Europe even if it says so in the fine print
