Good movie. I'm generous with my picture quality ratings so I will give it 4.5/5. The movie was around 25-30 mbps on average when I checked. I saw it go pass 30 a few times.

I watched it last night with my dad, and I must say it is a true science-fiction movie. We both were thoroughly impressed with the pq. It was a sound movie and well worth it if you liked the first Alien movie.
The review of the movie on this site was dead on. I took a leap of faith based on the review and was completely satisfied. Thanks...

watched it for the first time last night and all i can say is WOW!...what a unique and innovative plot and along with the visuals and sounds, this is definitely one of the hottest releases available...wasnt too fond of the ending though as it got too predictable but how many films now are perfect? overall, a 4.5/5...

This is a great movie.
Awesome p/q and a/q!
Loved it from start to finish.

My girlfriend and I decided to stick with the "outer space" theme and watch 2001: A Space Odyssey the night after watching Sunshine.

AWESOME double Blu-Ray feature!

Hey guys, I just picked up a copy of Sunshine (Fox) on BD and I must say that although the visuals are absolutely great, I did not really find anything interesting about this particular that hasn't been seen before on other "sci-fi" movies. I remember several postings here on Bluray.com from various members stating that Sunshine would be one of their choices if they were to pick out a movie.

My question is, what was all the hype about regarding this movie? Ironically, I do not even remember hearing about it nor seeing it listed on the theaters and I am an avid moviegoer. Is it because its the same person that made 28 days later, etc?

I'm still awaiting for my copy's arrival. But from what I've been reading on the net is that it is a very divisive film where you either love it or hate it, especially for the twisted ending. The science behind reigniting the Sun is thoroughly researched with a professor being an advisor to the film, so the movie isn't that implausible to believe in.

What I mean is: Are there any action sequences that will capture the audience' attention? For ex. Bizzare stuff that people normally don't see in movies?

Honestly, I wasn't thrilled at all about the movie in general. I must admit that as always, FOX does a good job of the audio/visual department. Otherwise, the storyline for me lacked substance - nothing really worth grabbing my attention.

I just finished watching it...and I found it to be one of the better movies I have seen in awhile. I would absolutely recommend it to others.

I agree that at some points in the movie it is predictable, which is true for many of todays movies. However, I would still recommend the movie to those who haven't seen it. The Blu-Ray quality of Sunshine is also very well put together.

It's hardcore sci-fi on a diet. It's not Laser Cats. It's full of literary devices that require intellect. If you believe in God, it should anger you. If you have a scientific background, you will find it ludicrous.

It's not an actioner, but it's a great flick, not for getting to intoxicated for.
