Default Does anyone else feel like they HAVE to be eating whilst watching a movie

Whenever Im watching a movie, I always like to be eating something (usually something fattening ) I guess for me it enhances my enjoyment out of the whole movie watching experience. Anyone else feel this way?

These days I've been cooking my dinner while the movie loads, and then eating it while it plays. Can't say I know why; I'd just rather have something to watch while I eat rather than eating in silence.

Sometimes I might snack on stuff during a film too.

But otherwise, I'm not always inclined to eat during a film. It just happens.

When I'm at the movie theater I always am. and at home it varies sometimes. Sometimes I might be eating a full meal and other times it might be chips.

At home most of the time I actually prefer not to eat anything above popcorn or chips because eating a meal forces me to look away from the screen and possibly miss some good stuff or just spill food while trying to look at the screen and eat.

In the movie theater however it is a different story. I actually avoid trying to eat before going so I can enjoy popcorn or nachos, it feels like part of the movie experience and the smell is everywhere.

I love the way theaters smell so i got a popcorn machine and tons of candy.....My Theater smells just like it after i wip up a batch of popcorn and break out the candy I also got a cool little Soda Machine which works great ....It holds 10 sodas and keeps them Ice Cold.

Here's what i use to make Perfect Movie Theater Pop Corn.

Mega-Popcorn

A extra pinch of flavacol

O'Dells Popcorn Supur-Kist II Topping (What the Theaters use)

Funtime Antique Carnival-Style 8-Ounce Tabletop Hot-Oil Popcorn Popper

I kid because I actually had one for a while, got it before the movie came out and didn't wanna admit how bad the film was after the fact.

For me, it's the opposite! I don't like to eat during a movie, especially one I haven't seen before. If I'm eating dinner in front of the TV, I feel like I can't fully focus as well as I do when I'm just sitting there, watching the movie without any "distractions."

Always and I have to stop! Trying to stop eating chips too, it's very hard... Must lose some weight, damn!

Now I try to just drink something instead of eating and drinking.

Well it is usually dessert or snack time when I settle down to a movie at night so for me, most movies start with an order of pop corn or ice cream.

That above home theater concession thing is amazing! Makes me very jealous! I always have to be eating popcorn when I am at the theaters, but at home it varies from candy to popcorn or pizza. I won't eat any meal besides pizza while watching a film because it does take away my focus!

I do watch movies without food though, quite often in recent memory.

I always have to watch something while I eat, however I do not always have to eat something when I watch.

I'm getting better about not snacking. I just find something else to do with my hands to keep me occupied.

My problem is that I get in phases where I can't sit in front of a movie without taking a nap, so I end up watching a 2 hour movie in 3 separate sessions.

At first, I brought snacks with me to the theater or bought something there when I was younger. When I got older and realized paying $7 for a pop and candy bar was a ripoff, I stopped. At home however we don't allow anything other than drinks, as people really get distracted by crunching noises.

After a while I watched movies primarily at home, and now when I go to the theater I don't need to eat anything. I find it distracting and I'd rather take my money and sit down at a restaurant and enjoy my food with some friends instead of eating a bunch of popcorn or nachos and not really paying attention to what I am eating.

I occasionally bring a can of pop with me, or get a glass of water, but I don't need to eat or drink anything like a lot of people do. In either case, it's a habit. If you buy popcorn every time you go to a movie, you associate the two together.

When I go to Minnesota Timberwolves games I am always in the mood for McDonald's because we initially went there every time for dinner because my friend got a 50% employee discount there. When I go to the shooting range, I am in the mood for KFC. I suppose I could eat spinach during movies and start craving that too.

I have been a big fan of Superman my whole life and i thought the 2008 one was a little to long but i did like it as well as a lot of other people It did make $391,081,192 world wide. "To each their own" as they say.
