I put the movie in my cart along with Good Luck Chuck, but apparently the movie is out of stock and won't be available until a few weeks from now! Man I guess this movie is selling like hot cakes!

war sucks. i was so bored i fast forwarded to the "fight scenes" but they were so weak it was a nightmare. statham and jet li exchange a few pathetic blows and get all touchy feely. yay. the movie blows, dont waste your money. and btw im a HUGE jet li fan, own all his classic stuff, so im not just "hating" but i am disappointed.

Rented 3:10 to Yuma to check it out. Not bad but still like Tombstone better. Will buy this as soon as I can find a deal on it.

Got'em both, actually watched them both this past weekend, 3:10 Friday and War on Saturday. They were both pretty good IMO, Both worth having in your collection. I thought they were both entertaining. It seems like with War people either love it or say it sucked.... I thought it was pretty good, again you can't go into some movies thinking your watching an Oscar caliber movie? You have to somewhat know what to expect....especially with Statham and Jet Li

link:
http://www.dvdfile.com/index.php?opt...=6484&Itemid=3 Video: "The film’s theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 is presented in a splendid high definition transfer compressed with the VC-1 video CODEC. This is quite a terrific transfer; this came closer than any other VC-1 transfer to earning a top most score, but there are a few very minir problems. Let’s start with the good news. The daytime exterior vistas are great, although a light layer of grain is betrayed when the mountains meet the sky. Small object detail and finely grained detail are exemplary. Subtle focus puller errors are clearly visible. Peter Fonda’s wizened, bearded face almost looked three-dimensional. The various wanted posters and sheriff’s badges had easily readable text that added to the movie’s authenticity. The weave of fabrics and the scuffed up jackets also were beautifully vibrant. Colors tended towards earth tones, with browns and reds dominant. But boy, did they look bright. Blacks are inky and consistent. And contrast is excellent, especially during the nighttime exteriors. However, on very high contrast transitions, there are inconsistently visible halos. Fortunately, they are of very low amplitude and are very thin; on properly adjusted displays of under 65-inches, they will probably not be noticed. And in more conventionally lit scenes, halos are not visible at all. Grain can be a bit apparent, but it’s not intrusive. Nitpicks aside, this is a very pleasing film-like transfer." |

Of course, 3:10 to Yuma was the better film.
Lately, I am very pleased with Lionsgate's picture and sound quality on their releases. They are a much smaller studio with fewer big blockbusters (and less budget to work with in prepping films for release). I am glad to see them getting some good sales on their Blu-ray titles. |
