Default Identity review on Hometheaterspot

Video: "This is another high bitrate AVC encoding from Sony "

but what i like the most and only True on BD whereas HD-DVD can keep dreaming is "the Audio part and Subtitles" an advantage for European and nation worldwide.

Really nowadays BD is becoming using its Full capacity.

WELL DONE CHAD ,you are a great reviewer

I'm glad that this looks great, not that I wasn't going to pick it up next Tuesday anyways. Sony has really stepped it up a notch with their transfers ( mpeg 4) High bit rates and advanced codec seems to be working great.

Ray Liotta always seems to be the bad guy. He looks the part. Cusack is excellent. Its priced right at Amazon to.

Just thought I'd add that Peter Bracke gave it 4.5 stars at HDDigest. He thought it looked terrific, oh, and its not VC1.

These multiple subtitles are very interesting for european (and other) importers, who'd like subs.
It's also interesting, since paidgeek asked around a little about which subtitles people would like, on AVS before.
Maybe they're trying it out.

And for Sony, I guess this means things will be cheaper for them, since they can use the same discs in every country.

For Blu-ray - this could also be an answer to the "advantage" of region free HD DVD's.
But this is one step up - region free AND multi subtitled.

I like it!

IN case anyone hasn't seen the movie, it really is well done and well worth picking up, the amazing PQ and SQ notwithstanding.

3 PCM tracks on here and 3 DD tracks - wow, 50GB sure is awesome.

2 PCM tracks and 4 640kbps DD 5.1 tracks, plus 2 commentaries

Subtitles really don't eat up all that much space. HD DVD could do more subs too. But, HD DVD needs to focus more on putting extras on a second disc instead of doing it all on one by dropping video bitrates and lossless sound.

It's curious why Sony went all out for a domestic release in the subs and why they chose German PCM over French or Spanish.

I remember people asked "paidgeek" about the possibility of adding more subs to their discs, and a poll was created to see which subtitles people would like.

Don't know if this is the result of that?
