Cool Who wants Star wars saga on Blu-ray?

I think George should have done that for the 30th Anniversary but that anniversary is passed. With 1080p AVC transfers and 5.1 DTS-MA lossless soundtracks, all the extras from the past DVDs including Blu-ray exclusives- Picture-in-Picture Commentary, BD-Live and have deleted scenes and all commercials ads like toys and other goods. That will be a great collector just like Blade Runner- 5 Disc Complete Collection.

Star Wars? I doubt you'll find much enthusiasm for those movies on a blu-ray site.

Your kidding right? It's only the greatest Movie Series ever created.

Of course we want Star Wars, hopefully the original 3 are the theatrical versions though.

Smile They should do 2 versions on one disc.

I was thinking they should make 2 versions on one disc and another disc for the extras. That will make everyone happy.

If we had Blu-ray.com awards this topic would rate as the most common thread.

two words of advice: forum search.

...or do each dvd for the original trilogy like the Close Encounters set. 3 versions of the film.

Seriously, I'm over Star Wars.

Yes, really!

Lucas has re-hashed the franchise so many times it has completely lost the "Wow" factor for me. I'd like to see how well the special effects look in high def, but I already know.

Check out the movie Bullit . It has a documentary by NHK about film editing on it. They have about 5 to 10 minutes of an interview with George Lucas and the future of editing. They have some long clips from his film... In High Def. Looks beautiful. Looking beautiful doesn't help the sucky story/acting/writing/directing or anything else.

There are much better Sci-Fi movies I'm waiting for on Blu-Ray... Like Serenity, Chronicles of Riddick, Equalibrium, Highlander, Dark City. And even better Fantasy movies I'm waiting for... Like LOTR

To me Star Wars has lost it's luster. I KNOW we will get this movie on Blu-Ray sooner rather than later. I know this will make the legions of fans happy. I just won't be one of them.

Star Wars ... hmmm maybe your mother would like this released. It was after all a soap opera designed for menopausal women.
Star Wars is and always will be a turd , and a prime example of greed and a capitalist society.

Thank you, we have enough Star Wars threads, and wanting them won't make them come any faster, they'll come when George is good and ready
